In 1959, Mr. Edwin Kehrt launched the company’s first product, the marine-grade polysulfide sealant Life-Calk® in Long Island, New York. 10 years later, Life Industries Corporation acquired the company. In 1995, Life Industries relocated to its current home of North Charleston, South Carolina. Grace L. Schmitt, Mr. Kehrt’s daughter took the helm in 1985 and leads the company with unwavering commitment to its prosperous future as it continues to grow. RVbyLIFE was created to service the growing need for high-quality RV repair and RV restoration supplies in 2011.
The first to release marine sealants to market, 65 years later BoatLIFE remains a pioneer in the marine products manufacturing industry. The company takes great pride in offering products without materials sourced from China whenever possible. All BoatLIFE products are made here in the U.S.A. in our North Charleston facility.
