As a supplement to our On The Road travel series, we’re pleased to announce a new blog category: Campground Reviews. First up is the newly remodeled Brushcreek Falls RV Resort located five minutes off of Interstate 77 near Princeton, West Virginia.
Brushcreek Falls RV Resort
Situated off of I-77 in southern West Virginia just over the Virginia boarder, Brushcreek Falls RV Resort is a destination in its own right. The resort and campground have something for everyone, with 70 RV/camper hook-up sites, offering electric, water, and sewer, as well as four cabins and three luxury suites available. Amenities include a playground;18-hole mini golf course; swimming pool and splash pad; laundry; general store; picnic areas; private events cabin, and an on-site gem mining activity for the kids. The recently opened luxury and accessible suites make a nice supplement to the more rustic cabin options.
Pet families, don’t leave Fido at home! The resort, including the cabins and suites, is entirely pet friendly.
Accommodations
Brushcreek Falls RV Resort offers 70 RV/camper hook-up sites and on-site showers and restrooms conveniently located in the middle of the resort. Of the 70 sites available, 52 fully prepared sites offer water, sewer, and electricity hook ups as well as an on-site propane filling station and Wi-Fi. Site options include “back in,” “pull through,” “premium” and “super premium” with a waterfall view. Daily rates are posted online, and monthly rates are also available by calling the reservation office. Booking the cabins and luxury suites is easy via reservation online or over the phone.
Cabins feature queen-sized bunk beds, climate control, refrigerators, cable TVs, and Wi-Fi. The new luxury suites are available in various sizes (Emperor, King, and Queen) and feature kitchens, living rooms with queen-sized sleeper sofas, bedrooms, bathrooms, standup showers, jacuzzis, and smart TVs. Larger parties can opt to book both the Emperor and Queen suites and combined the two for greater living space.
Logistics
Brushcreek Falls RV Resort is located 1.9 miles off of I-77 at Exit 14. Be mindful that the road leading to the resort is narrow and winding at points. Therefore, use caution when driving in, especially at night.
A convenient jumping off point for any southern West Virginia adventure, Brushcreek Falls RV Resort is located just outside of nearby Princeton, 30 minutes north of Bluefield, and 39 minutes south of Beckley. Other nearby places of interest include the nearby Brush Creek Falls Trail located within the Brush Creek Preserve about a four-mile drive from the resort in Athens. Further afield, the New River Gorge National Park and neighboring Fayetteville are an hour’s drive to the north.
